1. Practice without fire first.
  2. Always utilize a fire safety person with fire extinguishing tools.
    • Fire extinguisher
    • Safety blanket (woolen)
    • Bucket of water
  3. Use coconut oil in or wet your hair and keep your hair pulled back.
  4.  Wear protective clothing.
    • Leather
    • Denim
    • Cotton
    • Suede
    • Flame resistant clothing
    • Tight fitting
  5. Don't wear perfume/cologne or alcohol-based lotion.
  6. Stay sober.
  7. Use a funnel while pouring fuel.
  8. Wash fuel off of your hands, don't wipe hands on costume
  9. Keep the fuel station away from your performance area.
  10. Avoid touching the metal components nearest the flame.
